Icon Corner
Icons are seen as "windows" to the "other" or spirit world and, in many areas, they are treated as windows.
In the Latysh house, the icons in the second or children's room are draped in three panels rather than a single rushnyk. This treatment is called shanty.
This is an icon with window curtain treatment. Single icon and window curtains.

This is an icon corner with window curtain treatment. A combination of window curtains and rushnyky. Note that the television, because it too is a window on the other world, is frequently located in the icon corner.
This is an extreme version of window curtain treatment - actual window curtains rather than rushnyky.
