| The wedding of Serhii Mykolaiovych Brovarets to Zoia Ivanivna Zaiets. This is the church ceremony, as opposed to the civil ceremony which took place the day before. The church is a converted village house. This view shows the altar, the priest, and the wedding couple. In back of the couple are the boiaryn (best man) and the druzhka (maid of honor or chief female attendant of the bride). The crowns which are held by the boiaryn and the druzhka over the heads of the couple are on a table before the altar.
