EVENTS AND NOTES

Throughout the entire month of February, I strongly advise making the trek downtown to Mudhouse to check out the collage art of Monty Montgomery. The opening reception is Friday, February 6th from 6 - 8 pm.

We will convene in Clemons 407 before repairing to the Clemons Digital Media Lab for a 6.15 tutorial on New Media Applications by lab director Michael Tuite.

At 7.30, we will re-convene in Wilson 306 for a collaborative hour with Seth Hunter's ARTS 223 Intermediate New Media Art.

Benjamin Walter's final paper for Nitin Govil's MDST301 in Fall 2003. This essay attempts to explore how Benjamin's notions of aura and authenticity are affected perhaps redefined in an age where reproduction does not necessarily result in degradation or other noticeable differentiation from the original.
