National Labor Rights Law Conference

Dear VELLA Members:

Welcome back to school!  Our first general membership 
meeting will be coming up, so keep an eye right here for 
the notice.  Also, we had a successful time at the Student 
Activities Fair, so there will hopefully be a lot of new 
faces among us!

Right now, we have an opportunity to send a few students to 
Silver Spring, Maryland on Sept. 18 to attend the National 
Labor Rights Law Conference.  The conference registration 
is sponsored by the Peggy Browning Fund, with activities 
beginning at 8:30 a.m. and running through 5:30 p.m.  There 
is also an informal reception Friday evening, should you be 
in the DC area on 9/17.  If you are interested in 
attending, please contact Amy Potter, e-mail at aep9e.  
Time is of the essence, because the registration is due on 
Wednesday, Sept. 1.  So, if you're interested, send Amy an 
e-mail by Tuesday night.  Include: name, address, phone 
number, e-mail, and your year in school.
