Dear Vella Members,

On Monday October 19th, Chuck Woody, a long-time employment 
and labor law lawyer will be speaking to our group.  Please 
feel free to bring your lunch.  We will have cookies!
 		Time:  1:00 pm
		Place: SL 258

Mr. Woody will be speaking about "The Practical Side of 
Employment Law."  As a UVA grad he understands the need for 
some training in the practical aspects of lawyering (at 
least for students who don't get into Rip's Employment P&P 
class).  Some examples include "How to interview a witness 
in a sexual harassment case." And "What areas do we need to 
be especially sensitive to?" 

Mr. Woody practices at a firm in Charleston, West Va, and 
is kind enough to travel here just for this event.  Please 
feel free to come even if you can't stay for the entire 
event.  It should be great.
