VELLA elections

Dear Employment Law Students:

Operating on the assumption that at least a few of you have enjoyed the
semester enough to have a continuing interest in employment and labor law, I
am writing to encourage you to consider participating in the student
organization called VELLA (Virginia Employment and Labor Law Association).
There are currently vacancies on the executive board that will be filled by
elections next week.  In order to run, you need to be a member of the email
list called vella-members.

If you are interested, here's what to do:
	(1) Send an email message to majordomo@virginia.edu with the message text:
subscribe vella-members

	(2) Review the VELLA email archive for instructions about how to declare
your candidacy for office.  The archive is available as a link on my home
page (http://pells.org/rip).

	(3) Post your candidacy to vella-members no later than Monday, April 24th.
Elections will take place by email during Tuesday and Wednesday, April
25-26.  Winners will be announced at the VELLA potluck at my house on
Wednesday evening at 6:45 p.m.

	(4) Even if you don't want to run for office, join VELLA and participate in
the group.  To learn more, visit their web site, which is also available
from a link on my home page.
