This image is a detail of a 1930s fresco made by Lucienne Bloch in New York City's George Washington High School. Her celebration of America's cultural diversity captures an important theme of the New Deal artists. Source: Frontiers of American Art, Works Progress Administration: Federal Art Project, M.
