This semester, Intermediate and Advanced Digital Arts students will work on the production of a TV news program.
Now:
To enroll in the class you have to prepare for the first meeting in the fall semester at the latest*:
1. You have to watch news and read news. Recommended networks: FOX, BBC. Newspapers: Washington Post, NY Times, USA Today. Websites: bbc.com, etc (all the web:-). In particular, watch and read different coverage of the same event by several networks. Look at photographs. Are they beautiful?
2. For the first day of class, whey I will
sign the action forms, you have to bring a storyboard based on the entire
script or a fragment of it.
If you don't know what a storyboard is, it is a visual representation of the
script, like a cartoon.
The storyboard should take into consideration the 4:3 proportion of a typical
TV screen. You are welcome to loosely relate to the script
and develp your own variations.
