Purpose & Organizational Principles

The purpose of this document is to facilitate study for ARTH 331: Renaissance Gender and Art, by bringing together images presented in class which are not readily available elsewhere.

Each page listed below the instructor's name in the Table of Contents will provide you with 3" images and accompanying textual information. For a more detailed view of any of these images you may access larger JPEG images by using your mouse to select the image you wish to enlarge. From the "JPEG" image that appears you can return to the previous page by selecting the "Back" button in the upper left corner of the Netscape window. Because of copyright restrictions these larger images may not be accessed campus-wide.

Disclaimer & How to Report Problems

This is not a comprehensive presentation of every single image shown in class. You may note that detailed views of certain works will not always be presented here. There may also be works omitted entirely. Should you notice any major discrepancies or problems, please report them to your professor, or via e-mail to vrc-uva@virginia.edu.
