LESSONS OF THE LAWN_ARCH1010_Professor Peter Waldman
The Lawn, a World Heritage Site, is at the immediate crossroads of daily life at this University. Jefferson intended this architectural project to be at the core of a fine arts curriculum. The Lawn was to serve as a Model Text or Primer to guide students to develop architectural literacy as a responsibility of citizenship. In this course, the Lawn serves as a starting point in analyzing these civic values in a series of case studies from around the world.
