Here is the basic plot line for the creation show. The basic key is that the performance can be thought of in terms of 9 stages, with 1-3, 4-6, and 7-9 being the sub-grouping. In a nutshell, there is chaos, and from chaos comes light (entrance of beat 1). This light separates into two colors, hot and cold, with two respective cultures. The two cultures are different in that one is more primal and rhythmic and the other is more sophisticated and melodic (entrance of beat 2). Together, they are attempting to build upon the center light. They are having difficulty communicating and along comes a sign from the sky which talks to both cultures, slowly integrating their efforts making the production of the center trigon of light feasible (entrance of beat 3). The first 3-cycle is now in place.
Once the barriers have been "broken down," the remaining members of the two cultures form "the following" on stage entering from separate sides of the rear audience. (entrance of beat 4). Work continues both melodically and rhythmically, and in many ways the respective cultures become so concerned with their own artistic tastes that they forget the unifying factor between rhythm and harmony. Despite the structural differences, the project is thought to be finished and the trigon king is alive (entrance of beat 5). Celebration occurs with both circular in/out movement around the king by the primal culture, and linear x/y movement around the king by the sophisticated culture. But because of their failure to work together towards one ideal, the trigon of light is skewed and the king is double sided (entrance of beat 6). Power is abused, and the king turns on his peoples and the once constructed trigon of light comes tumbling down in utter chaos. The beings are tortured brutally as the extremes of both rhythm and harmony explode in a fiery disarray of noise. Chaos has beaten the world. The second 3-cycle is now in place.
Following the apocalypse, the theater goes black. Then from the audience, emerges the volume of the room, slowly yet powerfully illuminating the trotted corpses on the stage. There is a whitish blue/grey feel to the room, and the ethereal music transcends the audience (entrance of beat 7). The actors awaken with this rise in energy and try to deafly communicate with the overwhelming ear. Lights spark tentatively but complete communication is not possible without the missing beat (entrance of beat 8). At this point, both cultures rock and roll with what they know, yet neither the power of the beat nor the phrase of the harmony touches the rising realm. At this point of disbelief, the cultures return to their respective corners of the stage and pause. And with a quick flash from the sky to the center of the stage, they begin to focus their energies on the origin where the trigon king once stood (entrance of beat 9). As the music begins to collaborate and build with intensity, so too do the rays of light stream to the origin from both cultures and the audience realm. Slowly does the trigon of light begin to form, and this time the rays of light are in synchronization. The actors file towards the center, and with a woosh, they are laid out flat in a surrounding circle to watch and rejoice in the generation of light to all, for the fan of energy is created and rises until all is gone except for one beam of light at the origin.
At this moment, the audience in complete awe, will be left speechless and changed for a lifetime.
