Recreate the Lighting in a Painting or Photograph

Design Assignment

Based on your image and image analysis, recreate it in the theatre using another student as a model, and simple props such as a chair, box, fabric, or hat. Emphasis should be on the human form and how it is revealed by light.

Translate the decisions you made in your image analysis into specific choices about the direction(s), and intensity of light. You may also chose colors from the limited palette provided on the project control page.

You will have 5 minutes to reset your project before presenting it so take good notes about what units, colors, and intensities you used for your project.
