Exciting Spring Updates

The VELLA Officers have been meeting frequently to organize 
some fun & exciting events for the next few months, but 
we'd like your input.

SPEAKERS:
We are working to arrange a variety of interesting 
speakers, so please let us know what topics you'd be 
interested in learning more about -- e-mail me in the next 
few days if you think of any topics -- any topics at all 
that interest you!

POTLUCK DINNER:
Our wonderful faculty advisor, Rip Verkerke, is willing to 
open his house to our ranks for a potluck supper. We have 
tentatively scheduled the event for Sunday, March 26 -- so 
mark your calendars now. We'll have more info as the date 
approaches!

PUBLIC SERVICE CONFERENCE:
Don't forget that the Public Service & the Law conference 
is next weekend. Registration is going on as I write this 
message & it's FREE! The first panel session on Saturday 
morning will address employment law issues, so be sure to 
sign up if you'll be in town. You can register at the table 
in the back hall of the law school (til 2 today) or online

Don't forget to e-mail me with speaker ideas. And be sure 
to pencil in the VELLA potluck on Sunday 3/26 -- much fun 
was had by all at last year's 2 dinners at Rip's house. 
And it will be a great opportunity to network & campaign if 
you're interested in running for a VELLA office!
