Planning Meeting -- ALL WELCOME

Thank you to everyone who attended the organizational 
meeting yesterday! There was a good turnout, including the 
many people who e-mailed their interest in the group 
despite not being able to attend the meeting.

The most important announcement is that there will be a 
meeting on Monday, Sept. 20 at 1 pm in WB 105 to do some 
brainstorming for events/activities that you all want VELLA 
to do this year. This is your group, so please come and 
help us plan the coming year.

Also, if you're interested in joining, don't forget to pay 
your $5 dues, checks payable to VELLA (you can leave them 
in Amy Potter's mailbox). We also have a very short 
"membership form" to just give us some info about your 
interests & how to reach you. Go ahead and pay your dues if 
you're interested in joining, then we'll leave the form in 
your mailbox!

Another announcement -- we need someone who is web-oriented 
to maintain the VELLA website. It has already been 
designed, so this is just a matter of posting upcoming 
events, etc. It shouldn't take more than 1-2 hours per 
month. Let me know if you're interested in that job!
