VELLA is sponsoring a brown-bag lunch discussion with attorney and
mediator Eric Paltell from Piper & Marbury.  Mr. Paltell will be leading a
discussion on alternative dispute resolution in the employment context.

Elections for next year's officers are this week.  To run, send a message
to this list (vella-members@virginia.edu).  The positions of President,
Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer are wide open!  The work involved
is minimal but very fulfilling.  Voting will be done via email on
Wednesday and Thursday.  So be sure to get your nomination to the list
ASAP, before Wednesday at 9 am.  If you have any questions, write me at
